MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — A guy was shot and killed early Sunday morning at a Miami Beach bar, and two women were hurt.
Miami Beach police said in a news release that reports of gunfire started coming in just before 4 a.m. at the address for the GALA bar in the South Beach area of the city.
Officers who came to the scene said they found three people who had been shot. Police say that a man and two women were taken to the Ryder Trauma Center, where the man died. The women were thought to get better.
A man who was working near the bar when the shots were fired told what he saw and heard through a translator.
“The security guards of the club ran out into the street. “The women ran out of the club crying and scared,” said the man, who didn’t want to be named or have his face shown on tape. They tried to get them to cool down. Because of all the noise, no one could hear the gunshots. It was terrible, terrible.”
For almost 16 hours, investigators were seen going in and out of the bar.
Police didn’t say that they had made any arrests or found any suspects or found out why the killing happened.
As of late Sunday night, police had not found out who the victims were, but the man’s family and friends knew who he was.
Grissom is better known as “Lo,” and he is a rapper and talent scout for Chris Brown Entertainment. Sunday night, Brown wrote a tribute to him on Instagram.
A few hours before, the bar put a message on its Instagram story. It says, “We are shocked and very upset by the planned and isolated event that happened at our high-end venue last night.
During this sad time, our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends. We are fully committed to helping the Miami Beach Police Department with their investigation and working with them.
In the past few months, there have been a lot of killings on the weekends in Miami Beach.
