Shocking Murder in Hialeah Gardens Suspect Finally Captured!

HIALEAH GARDENS, Fla. – A man suspected of killing someone in Hialeah Gardens was found in Hendry County last month. On Wednesday, he was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade.

Roberto Aveille Rodriguez, who is 34 years old, is being held without bond on a second-degree murder charge, according to jail records.

According to his arrest request, Rodriguez, who is from Hialeah, shot and killed 41-year-old Alberto Pina on March 24 in an open lot where semi-trailers often park.

The lot is in Hialeah Gardens at 10500 NW 138th St.

Miami-Dade police said that when they got to the scene, they found a crashed truck whose driver had been shot.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel declared Pina dead at the scene.

A woman later told police that Rodriquez had told her that he had gotten into a fight with Pina and shot him. This is what the warrant says.

The woman also said that Rodriguez told her he was going to leave Miami and that a guy she only knew as “Manolito” would take him somewhere she didn’t know.

Police said agents later identified Manolito as Manuel Leon, 50.

The order said that the police followed Leon’s SUV to Collier County, which is where Rodriguez’s girlfriend lives.

Police said they thought Rodriguez was trying to leave the United States through the border between Texas and Mexico and then go to Cuba.

He finally gave himself up to police in Hendry County on March 26.

No one knows why the killing happened.
