WPBN: During a large-scale narcotics bust, authorities in Southern California discovered processed marijuana worth more than one hundred million dollars, which led to the discovery of a comprehensive illicit marijuana enterprise.
At a property situated on the 5000 block of Honeyhill Road in Oak Hills, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department carried out the operation on December 9 by executing a search warrant that targeted the growth of marijuana as a prohibited activity.
The land, which encompassed five acres, featured a metal building that had recently been completed and measured 120 feet by 40 feet. When detectives entered the building, they discovered a substantial quantity of processed marijuana that had been stored in more than three thousand large trash bags.
The stacks of marijuana were heaped to a height of more than twelve feet and lined the interior of the whole structure. The enormous scope of the business was highlighted by the fact that each trash bag held between thirty and fifty pounds of marijuana.
Officials from the Marijuana Enforcement Team, San Bernardino County Code Enforcement, and the California Fish and Wildlife Department collaborated over the course of two days in order to seize drugs and other illegal merchandise.
There were a total of 51 truckloads of marijuana that were removed from the location, and the cumulative weight of all of these goods was greater than 90,000 pounds.
The authorities have determined that the marijuana that was taken into custody has a street worth that is greater than one hundred million dollars.
Information regarding the ownership of the property or the individuals who are suspected of operating the illicit growing and processing enterprise has not been provided by the investigators as of this moment.
Despite the fact that the authorities are still working to identify people involved for the illegal activities, there have been no arrests made as of yet, and the case is still being actively investigated.
