Southern California Teen Disappearance Last Seen on Bike to Family Member's Home

A 15-year-old girl was last seen at Monterey Park on Tuesday night is missing, and the authorities are appealing for assistance in finding her.

At roughly 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Alison Jillian Chao left her residence in the 200 block of North Ynez Avenue, according to the police. She never made it to the residence of the family member she was in route to see in neighboring San Gabriel.

Alison’s mother, Annie Chao, characterized her daughter as vivacious, positive, and full of life. At approximately 5:30 p.m., Alison was last spotted leaving her father’s house on a Ring camera.

“She took her bike from her dad’s house and rode down the driveway, headed towards her aunt’s house in San Gabriel and never made it there,” Annie stated. “It was really hard to comprehend. You know, I don’t think your mind can understand what’s happening in that moment. I just, it’s been a lot of sleepless nights.”

She had on a purple t-shirt, black shorts, and dark shoes at the time. Alison had a black backpack on and was riding a blue mountain bike. Her family members identified her as an Asian woman with brown eyes and black hair who stood approximately 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighed 96 pounds.

In an effort to find someone who can provide information to the authorities, Annie and her sisters have been putting posters up at nearby shops.
