Many citizens of the United States will be eligible to receive fresh stimulus payments in July. These $500 monthly payments are subject to household eligibility based on state-specific requirements.
Following the COVID-19 epidemic, which precipitated a catastrophic economic downturn, a large number of low-income households encountered increasing inflation and restricted access to healthcare. The Economic Impact Payments (EIPs) program of the federal government was designed to aid in the recovery of millions of Americans.
For many, the relief offered was insufficient in spite of their efforts. State and local governments have intervened to provide longer-term assistance in lieu of one-time payments after realizing this.
The goal of these continuous stimulus payments is to assist low-income households in controlling their medical expenses and adjusting to inflation. These payments are financed by budget surpluses, income from prior tax returns, and other sources.
Which states provide a $500 payment every month?
A number of programs have been started in California to assist low-income families. About 200 low-income couples with children are expected to receive $500 per month from the Long Beach Pledge Program starting in the spring of 2024 and continuing through the spring of 2025.
Comparably, the Mountain View Elevate MV initiative provides about 166 low-income parents with $500 per month; payments are made between December 2022 and December 2024.
Meanwhile, from January 2023 to January 2025, 305 low-income households will receive $500 monthly payments from Sonoma County’s Pathway to Income Equity program.
Beginning in January 2024 and ending in the spring of 2025, the Rx Kids program in Flint offers around 1,200 new and expecting moms a one-time payment of $1,500, followed by $500 monthly payments.
Tacoma, Washington, launched the Growing Resilience in Tacoma initiative, which offers low-income households monthly grants of up to $500. This program will continue to provide the community with ongoing support through June 2025 through payments.

Santa Fe Community College in New Mexico provides 98 young, low-income parents enrolling in courses with $400 per month through the Learn, Earn, Achieve program. The time frame for this initiative is January 2024–Spring 2025.
The Bridge Project in New York provides up to $1,000 in monthly support to 1,200 low-income women. This program, which started in June 2021 and is still going strong, gives people in need regular access to cash assistance.
Michigan has likewise put initiatives in place to help its citizens. Approximately 100 low-income businesses will receive $528 per month from the Guaranteed Income to Grow Ann Arbor initiative from January 2024 to December 2025.
