Police claim a city worker in Tremonton was taken into custody after he was accused of breaking into the cars of four teenage females and taking a pee in them.

According to the police affidavit, Daxton Rusty Scoffield, 20, was taken into custody on Tuesday on suspicion of misdemeanor counts of car burglary, stalking, and criminal trespassing on school premises.

According to a Tremonton/Garland Police Department officer, they have information on many incidences involving a male who entered Bear Lake High School campus and broke into multiple vehicles. This suspect was eventually identified as Scoffield.

Four adolescents’ automobiles contained Scoffield, who was “seen on at least two occasions urinating on and then inside of” them, according to the affidavit.

The officer reported spotting Scoffield on school property on Tuesday night while on duty at the school and observing what was inside cars. After being able to get close to Scoffield, the officer arrested him without any problems.

After being informed of his Miranda rights, Scoffield allegedly “admitted to urinating on a vehicle and to going into multiple vehicles,” according to the affidavit.

“In reviewing video footage from today’s incident, Daxton is seen looking into 4 different vehicles, 3 of which are his preferred target vehicles, before getting back into his vehicle and attempting to leave,” according to the affidavit. “It appears on the video that Daxton is attempting to access the vehicles but finds them locked.”

Scoffield acknowledged to the police that he shouldn’t have been there and that he had no business being on school property. Although Scoffield works for the city, his employment was not disclosed in the affidavit.

The 1st District Court of Box Elder County imposed four temporary civil stalking injunctions on Scoffield, directing him to stay away from Bear River Middle School, Bear River High School, the victims’ residences, and their places of employment, per court documents.
