After reportedly fatally stabbing a 15-year-old child and seriously wounding an adult male at a Florida residence, a 16-year-old boy is currently detained.
According to a news release, the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office responded to a stabbing at a residence in the 6600 block of County Road 148 in Wildwood at approximately ten o’clock on Saturday night.
They discovered Connor Michael Gill, 15, and a guy, 48, who had been stabbed. After being taken to a hospital by paramedics in a hurry, Connor passed away around 1:20 a.m. Undersheriff Pat Breeden indicated that the man’s condition is critical but stable.
According to detectives, Alexander Warren Hernandez, the culprit, knocked on the adolescent victim’s door when she was having a sleepover. Breeden claims that after forcing his way inside, Alexander threatened someone else then fatally stabbed Connor.
When Alexander is said to have stabbed him, the adult residing in the house also went to investigate. Then, according to the officials, the suspect fled.

The police discovered Alexander wandering along the street with the assistance of a helicopter. According to Breeden, he still possessed the murder weapons—a pocket knife and scythe.
Indeed, Breeden stated, “This was no doubt a premeditated and targeted attack.” The police were informed by Alexander that he placed an internet order for the two weapons. After opening the guns and playing with them for a short while, he walked the victim’s house, which was about six miles away, on Saturday.
Deputy search for a motive is still ongoing, according to Breeden.
Along with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill, the defendant is also charged with armed burglary and first-degree murder. There may be additional costs. Deputies said that Connor and Alexander were acquainted and had left Sumter County Schools to receive home education.
Alexander was brought by police to the Sumter County Jail and is being held without bond there.
