An uncontrollably drunk driver crashed into a bedroom of a Florida City home, just missing a teenager and forcing emergency personnel to transport at least one person to the hospital.

At about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Florida City Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units arrived at the scene of the accident. There was a loud blast, according to neighbors.

A local woman remarked, “There’s kids that live there, so I was already worried, because I know kids live right here in this corner house.”

The homeowner reported that an SUV crashed through the bedroom where his 17-year-old son was sleeping. The youngster has some back pain in addition to a foot injury.

In contrast, at least one of the occupants of the SUV required airlifting to Jackson South Medical Center, thus the same could not be said of them.

Shots from the cameras revealed a large hole left behind with the front passenger side of the car completely damaged from the incident. Concerns about motorists speeding on this road were expressed by locals.

Regarding the status of the person brought to the hospital, nothing is known as of yet.
