A 25-year-old man got arrested for shooting another guy in the nose at a local McDonald’s on Monday, as per the sheriff’s office.
Monte Outlaw was arrested on Tuesday after an investigation by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. They say Outlaw met 18-year-old Jeremiah Lawson outside a McDonald’s on 502 West Brandon Blvd in Brandon around 8:30 p.m. on Monday.
The two guys planned to use the internet and charge their devices inside, but an argument broke out, according to deputies. Outlaw then pulled out a gun from his waistband and shot Lawson in the nose.
It turns out the gun was actually a BB gun. Lawson got treated for his injury at Tampa General Hospital. Outlaw has been arrested more than three times in the last six months and is now facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (x2), grand theft third degree, and battery second or subsequent offense, according to the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff Chad Chronister stated in a news release, “I’m appalled this man chose to turn his argument violent, and I’m proud of our deputies’ swift investigation and arrest. This man will have a long time to think about his actions in the confines of the Falkenburg Road Jail.”
