The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports that a Tennessee adolescent is being charged with a felony during a Saturday morning pursuit with the authorities that started close to Gadsden and concluded in Tuscaloosa County.
The driver led authorities on a pursuit that encompassed many law enforcement agencies and across five counties.
In Centre, a city in Cherokee County on the northeastern edge of Alabama, troopers attempted to stop a 2023 Nissan Armada, sparking the start of the chase at roughly 7:30 a.m.
Before the motorist turned onto Interstate 59, troopers chased the car south on U.S. 411 when the driver failed to stop. The motorist then struck two civilian cars in Jefferson County, according to troopers.
The Armada pulled off the road when the driver attempted to get off Interstate 59, ending the chase near the 77-mile marker in Tuscaloosa County. In the process, the Armada ran into a structure and a fence.
The 15-year-old driver of the Armada was found and arrested by troopers after making an effort to escape on foot. He was from New Market, Tennessee.

After being brought to the Tuscaloosa County Juvenile Detention Center, the boy was accused of felony evading.
According to the ALEA news release, the motorist was taken into custody without using any force, and no injuries were reported as a result of the chase.
