Pittsburg, Oklahoma saw the sight of a massive tornado. This follows many warnings that the National Weather Service (NWS) issued on Sunday regarding strong thunderstorms that could produce tornadoes.
Local storm chasers saw the sweeper as it passed by the Crowder late at night and recorded it on camera.
At the same time, a tornado warning is in effect until 6:15 p.m. local time (CDT) for a number of Oklahoman communities, including Eufaula, Texanna, and Hoyt.
Due to severe damage caused by a tornado that struck shelters and other sites in Marietta last night, the I-35 exit has been temporarily closed.
A tornado warning for West Central Haskell, Southeastern McIntosh, and Northeastern Pittsburg Counties is in place until 6:15 p.m. (CDT), according to the NWS Tulsa, Oklahoma, office’s prediction regarding Haskell, McIntosh, and Pittsburg.

According to the NWS forecast, at around 5:39 p.m. (CDT), weather spotters verified the existence of a tornado on the ground. The twister was traveling at a speed of 25 mph toward the northeast and was situated 3 miles northeast of Arrowhead State Park.

The National Weather Service (NWS) announced on social media that the current tornado warnings will be in effect until late at night. “Tornado Warning including Eufaula OK, Texanna OK, and Stidham OK until 7:00 PM CDT,” the meteorological service stated in a statement on X.

According to the NWS, anyone caught without shelter could face serious consequences from the hazardous weather event. Due to the twister’s impending approach, mobile homes, roofs, windows of the houses, cars, and trees will all bear the brunt.
The storm chasers located it at different points along the route in Arrowhead State Park, Canadian, Enterprise, and Eufaula. The forecast also stated, “This includes Oklahoma’s Interstate 40 around mile marker 268.”
