On Thursday afternoon, a man was shot and killed in a strip mall in the city of Miami Gardens.
The unfortunate event took place in the Miami Village strip mall, which is located on NW 27th Avenue.
After receiving reports of shooting, the Miami Gardens police arrived on the scene and discovered a man inside a vehicle who had sustained several gunshot wounds.
The person, the identity of whom has not been made public, was declared dead at the scene of the incident.
According to the report filed by the police, the incident occurred as the victim was exiting the parking lot and two people approached his vehicle before opening fire.
The suspects made their getaway in a car that was white.
Images from Chopper 4 show what appears to be a black BMW SUV colliding head-on with a red Toyota Corolla.
The driver’s side window of the BMW was riddled with bullet holes, and the road was littered with spent casings from the gunfire.
During the time that the investigation is ongoing, motorists are strongly encouraged to stay away from the area, which has been sealed off by the police with yellow crime tape.
