Following two shootings that occurred minutes apart outside a migrant shelter in Brooklyn, two men were pronounced dead and one man was critically injured on Sunday night, according to law enforcement and police sources.
At approximately 10:44 p.m., a guy in his 30s was shot in the arm and chest in a park close to Flushing Avenue and Steuben Street, which is outside the Brooklyn Navy Yard, according to police and other sources.
After being taken to Methodist Hospital, the man passed away from his wounds, according to the police.
Less than a quarter of a mile from the initial incident, at 29 Ryerson Street, two men were shot outside a migrant shelter approximately seven minutes later, according to the NYPD.
The other victim, who was thought to be in his 30s, was critically injured after being shot numerous times, while the 47-year-old guy who had been shot in the head was later declared dead at the hospital.
Law enforcement authorities stated, citing early information, that the shootings seem to be connected and that all of the victims are immigrants.

According to sources, detectives are looking into whether members of the Venezuelan gang El Tren de Aragua who ride mopeds were involved in the shootings.
As of early Monday, no one has been taken into custody.
