Unidentified Suspect Fatally Shoots Man in Northwest Houston

HOUSTON – According to the Houston Police Department, a man was pursued and fatally shot by an unidentified suspect in a field located in northwest Houston on Sunday.

Responding to reports of a shooting at around 6:35 p.m., HPD patrol officers arrived at the scene at 2200 Teague Rd. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, a man believed to be in his 30s, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the Houston Fire Department. The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Investigation reveals that the suspect, described as a male in his late teens to early 20s, chased the victim and shot him while he was attempting to flee. The motive behind the shooting remains unknown at this time.
