Four pounds of meth were discovered during a traffic check for a broken windshield, according to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, who also reported that a wanted Georgian fugitive was apprehended.
According to the sheriff’s office, a deputy pulled over a car on Interstate-75 on Wednesday because the windshield was cracked. He saw that Jackson Rutland, 21, was driving a car that was covered with bullet holes and had blood all over it.
Authorities have identified a possible shooter who directed officers to a potential site of the incident in Georgia. The agency said that they had discovered and arrested the guy in Georgia. The shooter’s identity is still unknown.

Four pounds of meth, estimated to have a street worth of $20,000, were found beneath Rutland’s car’s hood during a search.
Without incident, Rutland was taken into custody and taken to the Columbia County Detention Facility.
“This is an example of how proactive law enforcement solves major crimes,’ Sheriff Mark Hunter stated. “A relatively minor traffic infraction uncovered much more due to the hard work and determination of our deputies and partnering agencies.”
