Woman Accused of Stabbing Boyfriend's Eye with Rabies Over Gaze at Other Women

A 44-year-old woman was arrested over the weekend for allegedly using rabies vaccination needles to stab her boyfriend in the eye during a dispute.

According to the WPLG-TV’s cited arrest report on Saturday, Nov. 25, Sandra Jimenez and her longtime boyfriend were engaged in an “ongoing argument” about him “looking at other women” while they were out. They returned home around 10 p.m., and the situation escalated to a physical altercation.

Police noted that Jimenez’s boyfriend was on the couch when she “jumped on top of him with two rabies needles meant for their dogs” and stabbed him in the eyelid.

As per NBC Miami reports , After the incident, Jimenez reportedly fled the home, and the victim called 911. He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Police found Jimenez asleep in her car, and she claimed that her boyfriend had stabbed himself with the needles.

According to Miami-Dade Court records, Jimenez faces charges of aggravated battery and has been released on house arrest with orders to stay away from her boyfriend.

WPLG reports that Jimenez and the victim have been in a relationship for eight years.
