The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking into a situation where a woman and a 4-year-old girl got shot in their driveway. It happened around 11:35 p.m. at a home on Oaklawn Road, following reports of gunshots in the area.
When the officers arrived, they found a woman and a 4-year-old girl with gunshot wounds.
According to the JSO, two women and the child were sitting in a car in the driveway when a light-colored SUV drove by and shot at them. Only one woman and the child were injured, and they are currently getting treated at a local hospital for injuries that are not life-threatening.
Detectives from the JSO’s Robbery, Violent Crimes, and Crime Scene units are gathering evidence and looking for surveillance footage. At the moment, there’s no information about the suspect, except for the description of the car.
