Woman Arrested After 3-Year-Old Caught Carrying 4 Pounds of Cocaine in Nike Bag

Authorities in Alabama have accused a 35-year-old woman of using a 3-year-old toddler to assist her in trafficking hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of illegal drugs.

The child was allegedly found to be carrying approximately 4.5 pounds of cocaine in his small Nike bag.

Tierra Tocorra Hill was arrested over the weekend and charged with four charges of chemical endangerment of a child, one count each of cocaine trafficking, possession of marijuana in the second degree, and tampering with physical evidence.

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office released a news release stating that an investigator was notified by a “reliable confidential source” that Tierra Tocorra Hill, a woman, had been maintaining “a large amount of narcotics at a known location.”

As a result, the sheriff’s Narcotics Team in Mobile, Alabama deployed a surveillance team to the 1900 block of Harvey Court, where Hill lived.

After tracking Hill’s car after she left the house, the surveillance squad pulled over her shortly after. Detectives reported that they found around 1.5 kilos, or more than 3.3 pounds, of cocaine in the automobile during a search.

During the car search, a firearm and a “small amount” of marijuana were also found, according to the sheriff’s office.

Four children, ages 3, 8, 10, and 15, were discovered inside Hill’s Harvey Court residence as investigators requested and carried out a search order.

At that point, according to the authorities, they saw the toddler with the blue Nike backpack. Detectives reportedly discovered approximately 2 kilograms, or 4.4 pounds, of cocaine inside the bag.

Two firearms and roughly one kilogram of cocaine were purportedly found in a second backpack that none of the kids was wearing.

Paul Burch, the sheriff of Mobile County, chastised Hill for abandoning four minors in a house that included drugs and lethal weapons that “were accessible to the minor children at that time.”

In a statement, he stated, “It is absurd how reckless this situation was. There was a total disregard for the law and the children’s well-being.”

According to the sheriff’s office, the drugs were worth roughly $450,000 on the black market.

“I think she made a deliberate decision to ride around with substantial amounts of drugs and a firearm in her car and leave her children home unintended with even more cocaine and more drugs, so that’s a deliberate action, not a poor decision,” he stated.

He also mentioned the reported discovery of a toddler carrying over $100,000 worth of cocaine.

“It’s safe to say the 3-year-old probably didn’t put the drugs in the backpack,” Burch stated. “Each kilo is 2.2 pounds and they commonly refer to that as a brick, so you got two bricks in the backpack being worn by a three-year-old.”
