A Rhode Island woman was charged in relation to a wrong-way collision that occurred on July 27, according to Connecticut State Police.
Meghan Wolfsberger, 36, was accused with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, driving the wrong way on a split highway, and operating under the influence.
Upon arriving near Exit 39 of Interstate 395 in Killingly at around two in the morning, police discovered two cars that had obvious damage.
The second vehicle “abruptly pulled out from its location in the right shoulder and performed a U-turn maneuver within the travel lanes,” according to the driver of the automobile with the Connecticut registration who reported the incident to the police.

The motorist went on to say that they were unable to stop a crash. Wolfsberger admitted to drinking, and the police claimed she had “signs of impairment,” such as the smell of alcohol.
Empty alcohol bottles were purportedly discovered on the driver’s side of her vehicle during an examination. Wolfsberger is due for arraignment on August 9 and was later freed on a $500 non-surety bail.
