A 14-year-old boy was stabbed on Staten Island Tuesday evening, and police are searching for a 13-year-old suspect, highlighting the troubling rise in youth violence across the city, according to authorities.

A young boy sustained a stab wound to his leg, just above the knee, during a confrontation at approximately 5:45 p.m. close to a building on Broad Street near Gordon Street, according to police and sources.

He was transported to Staten Island University Hospital North, where his condition was reported as stable.

A 13-year-old suspect, who was last spotted in gray sweatpants, escaped the scene and remained at large on Wednesday. The reason behind the violence remains unclear at this time.

A 14-year-old has become the most recent victim of a series of assaults that have erupted throughout the city since the weekend, according to officials.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the left foot at East 176th Street and Webster Avenue in the Tremont area of the Bronx just before 8 p.m. on Monday, according to police reports.

A man was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where his condition was reported as stable, and authorities recovered a weapon at the location.

Authorities reported that “Multiple Persons of Interest” in the investigation have been apprehended.

On Wednesday, it remained uncertain if any individuals faced formal charges.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg at approximately 12:15 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Avenue D and Troy Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn, according to police reports.

A young boy successfully made it home, prompting his mother to call 911. The teenager was then swiftly transported to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, according to authorities and sources.

According to law enforcement and sources, three individuals on Citi Bikes, dressed in puffy jackets, made their escape toward Church Avenue.

A 17-year-old male sustained gunshot wounds to his right leg and buttocks in the Melrose area of the Bronx at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to police reports.

A patient was transported to Lincoln Medical Center in stable condition, with no arrests reported at this time.

On Saturday night, police reported that 17-year-old Xavier Navarez was tragically shot and killed on Oak Terrace near Beekman Avenue.

Navarez was shot multiple times in the back around 7:45 p.m. and was quickly transported to Lincoln Medical Center, where he was first reported in critical condition before ultimately passing away from his injuries.

Authorities reported that James Walker, 33, a resident in the vicinity, has been taken into custody regarding the fatal incident and faces charges including murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.

The reason behind the deadly shooting is currently a matter of investigation.
