A 24-year-old man lost his life in a rollover accident in Orlando on Thanksgiving, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Thursday near the crossroads of Old Winter Garden Road and Tyler Avenue in Orlando.

According to the FHP incident report, the 24-year-old man was traveling west on Old Winter Garden Road in the outer lane in a Honda Civic.

Simultaneously, another driver in a Dodge Charger occupied the inner lane. The man attempted to overtake traffic by entering the left turn lane but overcorrected, leading to a loss of control.

In the ensuing collision, the front right of his car struck the rear of the Dodge Charger, causing the vehicle to overturn multiple times.

Emergency services transported the driver to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The other driver, a 31-year-old woman, escaped the incident without injuries and remained at the scene.
