The popular grocery store and gas station chain Wawa is getting ready to open its newest location in Miami-Dade County. This means that Wawa is still growing in South Florida.
A Facebook event says that the newest Wawa in the Sunshine State will open on Thursday, May 11 at 11200 S.W. 248 St. in Homestead, which is near Princeton.
From 8 to 9 a.m., there will be a big opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a Hoagies for Heroes competition, in which first responders will make hoagies to raise money for charities of their choosing.
At 8 a.m., the first 100 customers will get free T-shirts, and customers will get free coffee all day long. Wally, the Wawa spokesman bird, will be there for pictures.
