Brooklyn Resident Shot Returning from Sweet 16 Celebration

Sunday morning, while heading home from a Sweet 16 party, a man was robbed and shot multiple times inside a NYCHA building, according to the police.

At 1:40 in the morning, police received a 911 call reporting a person shot at the Williamsburg Houses. They discovered that Jamall Coleson, 41, had been shot twice in the face when they got there.

The shots also hit Coleson in the back, right thigh, left knee, and stomach. Elmhurst Hospital was where he was brought, according to authorities.

Coleson, the victim and building resident, was allegedly getting clothes for his small daughter when it happened, according to authorities.

An unidentified individual approached Coleson, a well-known ticket broker in the neighborhood who offers cheap tickets for concerts at the Barclays Center, and proceeded to assault him.

“Give me all you got,” the gunman is said to have said to the victim. After shooting the victim, he drove off in a black SUV, according to the police.

It’s unclear if Coleson was targeted by the gunman because of his Barclays Center ticket discounts.

According to police, Coleson is likely to recover from his wounds.
