Deputies observed the suspect’s automobile traveling close by as they were at the residence they were called to after a domestic violence incident. The suspect attempted to flee after spotting the deputies, but he collided with another vehicle close to Jeffrey and Camino de Oeste.

More deputies arrived on the scene to assist as the two suspects ran away. After searching the area for them, deputies apprehended one suspect.

There is still one suspect that PCSD and other law enforcement agencies are searching for. The criminal investigation into this shooting is being handled by the Pima Regional Critical Incident Team.

No one from the community or other deputies was hurt in this event. Anyone with information is urged to call 88-CRIME by PCSD.

Sheriff Nanos claims that the deputy who was shot during the incident was shot. After being struck in the leg, the deputy was sent to Banner Medical Center in non-life-threatening condition.

In search of new information, officers are knocking on people’s doors in the neighborhood.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has characterized the suspect as a person in his 20s with dark hair, a beard, and an approximate height of 5’9″. He is wearing a blue shirt and maybe tan shorts or jeans.
