ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged three men and one woman with armed kidnapping.
The incident occurred around 2:10 p.m. on Saturday when deputies were called to Barnett Place in Pine Hills. A woman in her 40s had sought help from a resident after escaping from being held against her will.
The deputies found that the woman had suffered minor injuries. Taking action, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office apprehended four suspects: Monica Latresis Reed (37 years old), Damon Andrew Tromp (19 years old), Kevin Rudolph Holmes (21 years old), and Cortez Marenzo Bernard Jackson (39 years old).
All four individuals are facing charges of armed kidnapping and false imprisonment with a weapon. The arrest report indicates that the suspects tied the woman’s hands and forced her into a vehicle while threatening her with a firearm. Later, she was confined to a dog cage in one of the suspects’ backyards, as stated in the arrest report.
Monica Latresis Reed is also facing an additional charge of aggravated battery for allegedly hitting the victim’s face with a pistol. Investigators suspect that the motive behind the incident was to extract information about stolen property from the victim, according to the arrest report.
