Days after the victim’s family reported her missing, the headless body of the man’s closest friend was discovered in Gila Bend, outside of Phoenix. The man from Arizona is now being charged with the crime.

In relation to the death of Alijah Bradley, 24, Samuel Bush, 23, was under arrest, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Bradley missed work and was reported missing on August 15, which was days after his birthday. This led to the discovery of the case. According to his family, his phone last rang at Bush’s residence.

Bush allegedly admitted to the family that he had no idea where Bradley was.

A close cousin of the victim, who wished to remain nameless, provided the family with Bradley’s car’s GPS coordinates, which allowed them to follow it to “the middle of nowhere,” the source reported.

On August 19, Bradley’s headless body was discovered close to Gila Bend.

“I was told his cause of death was getting shot in the back and that they found him without his head,” the relative stated. “And something so cruel and so graphic, like it’s almost crazy to think that somebody is capable of doing that.”

She could not figure out how that could have happened.

“He was Sam’s best friend,” she stated. “He was Sam’s only friend.”

The next day, Bush was taken into custody on suspicion of cultivating and distributing marijuana and mushrooms. On Wednesday, charges of second-degree murder and hiding body parts were added, according to authorities.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Bradley was an engineer and a Cum Laude graduate of Northern Arizona University. His death “left a profound void in the lives of his family and friends,” according to his GoFundMe page.

Bush’s bond amount is $1.5 million, and he is being held at the Maricopa County Jail. According to online booking records, he is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
