Arlington Altercation Leads to Double Shooting, Multiple Detainments

Early on Friday morning in the Arlington area of Jacksonville, a dispute inside a home led to two people being shot, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Sergeant Lloyd from the JSO reported that around midnight, officers went to 2800 Holly Point Dr. in response to the shooting. The two victims were identified as a man in his 20s and a woman in her 50s.

Both were taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

The man had multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, while the woman had a gunshot wound to her arm. The woman has been released from the hospital, but the man is still receiving medical treatment.

Sergeant Lloyd mentioned that several people were held at the scene for questioning, but there is currently no description of a suspect.

JSO detectives were talking to witnesses and searching the area for potential surveillance footage. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
