A large cache of illicit fireworks and potentially explosive materials were found in the Riverside house of the man who was arrested.
According to the Riverside Police Department, the suspect is 23-year-old Vincent Lozano III. Lozano was identified as the purported source by investigators after they got a tip regarding an illicit fireworks vendor in the town.
The Hillside neighborhood’s 5800 block of Clifton Avenue is home to a house where a search warrant was issued.
About 1,000 pounds of “dangerous and illegal fireworks” were found by officials on the backyard patio during the raid. Additionally, deputies reported finding nearly a hundred distinct damaging devices that resembled M-80-style explosives.
Along with other illicit firearms, there was more proof that the suspect had been selling illegal pyrotechnics. Several charges led to Lozano’s arrest, including firearms offenses, possession of explosive devices, and over 100 pounds of dangerous pyrotechnics.
Deputies said that because the pyrotechnics were within the reach of the home’s occupants, he was also charged with endangering the welfare of minors.

Lozano was given a $35,000 bail and freed the next day.
“The City of Riverside reminds all residents that fireworks are illegal within city limits,” officials stated. “Anyone found using illegal fireworks could face a $1,500 fine. The city has been actively working to reduce the usage of illegal fireworks, which can cause injuries, stress veterans with PTSD, terrify animals, and spark dangerous fires.”
