Just before Ahliana Dickey, 15, graduated from the eighth grade, her boyfriend is going to be charged with her murder.
Dickey was shot at her Lowell home on Lawrence Street by Trevor Bady, 21, of Tewksbury, according to police. Murder and armed home invasion are among the many counts he will be facing.
Tuesday, June 14, was Dickey’s eighth-grade graduation. Her relatives went to her house in search of her when she failed to appear for graduation.
Dickey had been shot, and they discovered him bleeding heavily on the floor of a first-floor bedroom.
Police had been summoned to Lawrence Street earlier in the morning on June 14, shortly after midnight, due to an altercation involving a man and woman.
A woman cried, “Get off me; get away from me,” according to the caller, according to police. I’d like to stop being with you.” Gunshots were then heard by the caller. Although they were called, the pair was nowhere to be found by the police.

On June 14, just after midnight, Bady is seen on camera leaving Dickey’s house.
According to the police, Bady had a history of abusing Dickey. Bady is claimed to have taken an Uber to and from Lawrence Street both before and after the murder, according to the police.
Families and friends have recalled Dickey as a kind and encouraging man.
“A positive person. Really positive person. If I’m down, she’ll bring me up. She wanted to do bright things in life,” her friend Skyla Guthrie, of Lowell, stated.
