The Sanders County Sheriff’s Office says that a freight train went off the tracks in Paradise, Montana, on Sunday.
Bill Brown, a dispatcher, told CNN that about 25 cars came off the tracks at 9:20 a.m. near Highway 135. About 200 miles northwest of Bozeman, on the banks of the Clark Fork River, the train went off the tracks. Some of the cars in the river can be seen in pictures taken at the scene.
What the train was carrying was not known by the sheriff’s office. But Brown said it didn’t look like there were any dangerous materials on board.
Brown said that the Sanders County Fire Department is already there to help with the accident. The incident has also been reported to the office of emergency management and the Montana Rail Link.
There have been no reports of hurt people. The reason why the train went off the tracks is being looked into.
