Don’t run. A predatory chasing response could result from this. To prove that you are a human, keep facing the bear and slowly back away while speaking in a calm manner.

Make yourself as big and intimidating as you can by raising your arms above your head and creating loud noises in an attempt to frighten the bear away if it keeps coming.
