On Monday, authorities apprehended a man who was on two separate “most wanted” lists; the offense that brought him to the attention of U.S. Marshals was a murder that occurred in 2023 at a Miami Beach nightclub.
Along with being on Canada’s “25 Most Wanted” list, Deshawn Davis, 36, was reported by authorities to have been engaged in an Ontario kidnapping in 2022.
The Canadian national, known as “Thorobread,” was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on Tuesday. Redway, California, is a little unincorporated community located roughly three and a half hours north of San Francisco in the state’s northwest woodlands. Last Thursday, he was added to the agency’s “15 Most Wanted” list.
Davis was believed by Miami Beach police to be the shooter in the triple shooting that occurred on May 7, 2023, at the GALA Miami nightclub, located at 235 23rd St.
During a party at the venue, two women were injured and Lowell “Lo” Grissom, a rapper from South Florida and talent scout for Chris Brown Entertainment, was shot and killed.
The U.S. Marshals Service stated that they “believe the murder was a targeted attack with a gang nexus.”
At the time, Davis was already regarded as a wanted person in Canada. He and two other people were charged by Ontario Provincial Police in connection with Elnaz Hajtamiri’s kidnapping on January 12, 2022.
After being transferred from a relative’s home in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, to an SUV, Hajtamiri vanished and hasn’t been seen since. Hajtamiri’s murder case was brought against her ex-boyfriend.

Ronald L. Davis, the head of the U.S. Marshals Service, stated in a statement on Tuesday, “It is our hope that this apprehension brings justice to his victims and safety to the community.”
The anticipated date of Davis’ extradition to South Florida has not yet been announced by the authorities.
