A Mississippi oil field is where a woman’s dead body was dumped after she killed a man she met online.

Sierra Inscoe, 22, admitted guilt to the 2022 murder of Carson Sistrunk, 24, and was given a 40-year jail sentence last week. According to a press release from the 15th Circuit Court District Attorney’s Office, she will need to serve 35 years in prison before being eligible for parole.

In a statement, District Attorney Hal Kittrell expressed his gratitude to police enforcement for their efforts on the case.

“Thanks to their hard work, we were able to take a violent individual off the streets and show that there are severe consequences for those who do harm to others in Jefferson Davis County,” he stated. “Though nothing can bring Mr. Sistrunk back, it is my sincere hope that family can find some closure in this resolution.”

According to WDAM, on September 7, 2022, an oil worker saw tire traces and found Sistrunk’s body. He had been fatally shot. Three days prior, Sistrunk’s whereabouts from his Rankin County residence had been reported missing.

He had scheduled to see a woman he had met online, later identified as Inscoe, according to family members. Several days following the murder, Inscoe—who was operating Sistrunk’s Ford Raptor truck—was taken into custody by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, according to a report from the Prentiss Headlight.

Authorities added a murder charge to the one she was first charged with—motor vehicle theft.

The Daily Beast detailed Inscoe’s tumultuous background preceding the homicide. Former friends claimed to the site that Inscoe has a history of stealing cars and defrauding people out of their money.

She even pretended to have cancer in order to win people over and receive favors, including free housing. It is also said that Inscoe had an account on OnlyFans. On Facebook, she presents herself as a country girl.

“Cornbread fed,” she stated. “I go fishing on the first date.”

Sistrunk was called a “best friend to many” in his obituary.

“Carson loved fishing and hunting. As soon as he was old enough, he would strap on his holster and guns and head out on his bike to hunt,” according to the obituary read. “One of the highlights for Carson was in March of each year. He and his Dad would get the barrels ready for hand grabbing fish in May. He did not give a thought to the cold water; but would jump in the water to put the barrels out.”
