A man, identified as 23-year-old James Trevon Felix, has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a 7-Eleven store, as announced by the police on Monday.
The incident occurred at the 7-Eleven located at 3355 Vineland Road, where police responded to multiple calls reporting gunshots just before 2 a.m. on Friday.
Upon arrival, they discovered 30-year-old Wolf Lindor, who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots and observed a man, believed to be the shooter, leaving the scene in a car. Further investigation revealed that Felix, an employee at the store, was identified as a suspect.
The store owner, who had owned the 7-Eleven for about a month, informed police that Felix had called him at 1:55 a.m., stating that someone had been shot, and he was going home.
Later, Felix called again via Facetime, asking if he could work at a different 7-Eleven location.
Security camera footage from the store showed Felix working and Lindor arriving about 30 minutes before the shooting. The video depicts an altercation between Felix and Lindor in the parking lot, with Felix seemingly hitting Lindor.
When Lindor retaliates with a punch, Felix extends his arms, resembling firing a gun. The footage also captures Felix standing in the same location where spent shell casings were later recovered.
After the shooting, Lindor is seen retreating before collapsing, where he was found by first-responders.
Felix was picked up by a family member, unaware of the shooting, and was later located and arrested by the Orlando Police Department’s Fugitive Investigative Unit.
Felix has been booked into the Orange County Jail on a charge of second-degree murder with a firearm and is being held without bond. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
