Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) essentially lied about where the previous president kept the boxes of papers he seized from the White House in an attempt to defend Donald Trump over his handling of secret documents.
But Democratic Representative Jared Moskowitz, a fellow member of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, ended up roasting Comer.
The documents were eventually taken from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, and Comer bemoaned to conservative commentator Sean Hannity on Tuesday that Trump, who is once again seeking the presidency, was being treated unfairly in the federal criminal case over them because they were only “in one location behind a locked door.”
Comer’s allegation was untrue, though, and Moskowitz kindly refuted it with a super-cut that displayed the locations of the boxes containing sensitive information that were discovered at Mar-a-Lago. “I spy with my little eye, more than one,” was the caption he wrote for the video.

The super-cut revealed that White House document boxes were located in a number of locations, including a public restroom and a ballroom.
On the same day that special counsel Robert Hur testified before the House Judiciary Committee regarding President Joe Biden’s retention of secret records, Comer defended Trump’s storage policies.
The Associated Press said that Hur’s study pointed out significant variations between the two probes.
For example, after the documents were found, Biden’s team returned them, and the president agreed to an interview and searches of his residences. In contrast, Trump is alleged to have had his lawyers and aides hide the documents despite requests from the government for their return and to have potentially incriminating evidence destroyed.
During their tenure on the House Oversight Committee, Moskowitz has grown to be a bit of a pain in Comer’s side, frequently making fun of every attempt Comer makes to link Biden to a criminal offense.
Moskowitz taunted Comer last month by uploading a GIF of the phrase from the Christmas movie “Elf” that reads, “You sit on a throne of lies,” following the Justice Department’s indictment of an FBI informant who was crucial to the GOP’s effort to impeach Biden.
Comer referred to him as “little Moskowitz” in November.
In response to the juvenile jest, the Florida Democrat stated, “This is the first true thing Comer has said all year, it’s been hard for me to grow.” He also acknowledged that, sure, he is short.
