Authorities in Arizona have confirmed that a Wells Fargo employee passed while at work and was discovered four days later.
The Tempe Police Department verified on Thursday that Denise Prudhomme, 60, last checked in at the Wells Fargo location in Tempe at 7 a.m. on August 16. On August 20, she was discovered at a third-floor desk in the building, prompting on-site security to contact law enforcement.
At 4:55 p.m., firefighters arrived as well and declared the woman deceased, according to the police. The Office of Medical Examiner stated that as of Thursday morning, the cause and manner of Prudhomme’s death were unknown.
Four days after the employee’s death, which occurred while she was working at Wells Fargo, was found, according to Arizona authorities.

Although the majority of Wells Fargo employees in the office work remotely, the building is constantly guarded.

According to Wells Fargo, speaking with Prudhomme’s family was a prerequisite for speaking with staff members. She was seated in a “very underpopulated area” of the building, the company continued. Wells Fargo expressed their sorrow at Prudhomme’s passing.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague, Denise Prudhomme. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, and we are in contact to ensure they are well supported during this difficult time. We are committed to the safety and wellness of our workforce. Counselors are available to support any employees impacted by this event.”
