A lady from Maryland is charged with using the identity of a registered nurse to work in Delaware nursing homes.
Nicole Vanhorn was taken into custody on August 19th, subsequent to an inquiry conducted by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) of the Delaware Department of Justice.
In an attempt to get a Delaware nursing license, Vanhorn, a Maryland resident who had previously resided in Middletown, Delaware, attempted to utilize the identity of a Pennsylvania-licensed nurse in addition to falsified professional credentials and educational background, according to authorities.
Investigators claim that since at least December 2022, Vanhorn has obtained employment as a registered nurse at two long-term care facilities in Delaware by using fictitious credentials.
Nonetheless, officials stated that there isn’t any proof at this time that Vanhorn saw any patients in Delaware.
