Florida Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking: Deputies Seize $245k, 8 Guns, and More!

FORT PIERCE, Fla.—A 46-year-old man was arrested after officers searched his home and found drugs, $245,476 in cash, and eight guns.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office says that Conquistador Herbert Ray was arrested for selling drugs, having drugs on his person, and having a weapon.

The search happened around 10:30 a.m. Friday at a home on N. 24th Street in Fort Pierce, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.

Inside the house, officers say they found 4,103 grams of cocaine, 148 grams of MDMA, 12 grams of fentanyl, 100 grams of molly, and 220 grams of weed.

Deputies also took $245,476 in cash, a 2020 Dodge Charger 392 Scat Pack, and a backpack with gold and silver coins in it.

Deputies found an AK-47, a Mini Draco, and a.44 Magnum handgun, a 9 mm Canik Pistol, a 9 mm Ruger Pistol, a Maverick 12-gauge shotgun, a Smith and Wesson AR-15, and a Zastava SKS Rifle.

Sheriff Ken Mascara of St. Lucie County said that this was not a small operation because so many drugs, guns, and cash were found.

“Friday’s arrest is one of the biggest in the last 10 years, and it is a big win for our agency and our community because it sends a strong message to other dealers that we will not tolerate the sale and distribution of these deadly drugs in our community, and we will continue to work hard to bring those responsible to justice,” Mascara said.

Deputies say Ray was taken to the St. Lucie County Jail and given a $153,000 bond.
