WPBN: Publix has lately introduced some new features in some of its renovated or newer locations, as many Floridians are aware. A brand-new one is on the water in Hollywood, Florida, and it will open shortly.
It has taken a while for The New Hollywood Store to open. 2018 saw the initial introduction of the idea. It’s not Florida’s only Publix with a boat ramp. The west coast is home to another.
3100 South Ocean Drive is the store’s address on the Intracoastal Waterway. At about 30,000 square feet, it is smaller than a normal Publix.
Hollywood Mayor Josh Levy has stated the following about the Publix:
“The Publix is proposed to have cafe tables on Ocean Drive and will also have a boat dock for boaters to pull up and buy groceries for their day on the water. Great amenity for the beach and for Hollywood boaters!”
According to reports, the waterfront store was constructed on a tiny plot of land (one acre) that had previously been used as a parking lot. The Publix grocery store will reportedly be located on the third floor of the building, which will also feature two levels of garaged parking.
