A man from Florida has won a $1 million reward in the $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game offered by the Florida Lottery.

Sixty-year-old James Wise of Pace decided to take his winnings as a $640,000 lump sum settlement all at once.

At the Publix store at 4739 Highway 90 in Pace, Wise bought the winning ticket. As a result of the sale, the shopkeeper was given a $2,000 extra commission.

Two top prizes of $1 million each year for life and 234 prizes of $1 million are available in the $50 Scratch-Off game $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR.

With a 1-in-4.50 chance of winning overall, the game also offers cash rewards totaling over $1.6 billion.

Around 72% of tickets sold in the Florida Lottery during the fiscal year 2022–2023 were scratch-off games, which is a substantial portion of the lottery’s products.

In the years since their launch, scratch-off games have produced 2,103 millionaires, given away more than $61.9 billion in prizes, and given more than $18.95 billion to the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
