Chaim Haberfeld, 36, has been missing for almost a week, and the Hallandale Beach Police Department increased their hunt for him on Monday.
Haberfeld, who was last seen in the 900 block of Northeast Second Street at approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday, is deemed vulnerable and might potentially be exploited, according to authorities.
Haberfeld is “extremely vulnerable and easily manipulated,” according to the police, raising grave worries that he could be in danger.
“This case is unique because of his susceptibility to influence, making it critical we locate him quickly,” said HBPD spokesman Grace Mariot.
Despite pursuing a lot of leads, investigators have not yet produced any noteworthy discoveries. Investigators are worried that Haberfeld might have hung around with people who could exploit his trusting personality, some of whom are said to have had troubled pasts.
Police acknowledged they are aggressively looking into these people’s possible participation, but they did not provide any specifics.
According to family members, Haberfeld, who is known to sell watches and work in the jewelry industry, does not usually vanish without explanation.

Loved ones are extremely worried about his abrupt disappearance, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
“We need him to return home safely,” Mariot stated. “His family concerned and wants him to come home.”
In an effort to get more tips, the Hallandale Beach Police have released a public notice and are searching the neighborhood for surveillance footage. Anyone who knows Haberfeld’s location is asked to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
