According to authorities, a 13-year-old kid in Minnesota passed away over the weekend after being struck by a tractor-drawn wagon during a spooky hayride.
Following attempts to save his life by Stearns County Sheriff’s Office officers, an off-duty medic, and an off-duty police officer, Alexander “Xander” Mick of Rice, Minnesota, was declared dead on the spot.
According to a sheriff’s office release, the collision was first reported at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Alexander went to Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School for the eighth grade, according to an obituary written in his honor. He took part in robotics, soccer, band, and choir here. His parents, Teri and Steven, survive him.
“He loved Jesus with all his heart and shared that with others. Xander was kind, very polite, unique, creative, investigative, and saw the good in everyone. He always tried to be first to say, āLove you moreā. Xander was well known for his unique white hair, he could be spotted from a distance,” the obituary stated.

“We are still struggling to pick a picture for the obituary. This is my favorite at the moment. This is him. His infectious smile. His hair that can be picked out from a crowd. His energy in life,’ Alexanderās father stated on Facebook.
After the incident, the Harvest of Horror Haunted Hayride organizers said that the remaining nights of the 2024 Harvest of Horror will not take place.
