Jacksonville Man Pleads Guilty to Three Sibling Murders and Road Rage Killing

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man from Jacksonville pleaded guilty on Thursday to three counts of second-degree murder for the killings of three siblings in April 2022.

Terrell Lewis, aged 39, also admitted guilt in the killing of another person during a road rage incident about a month prior to the sibling murders.

According to State Attorney Melissa Nelson’s news release, Lewis has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for the murders of the three siblings and is facing an additional 25-year sentence for the road rage killing.

The tragic events unfolded on April 29, 2022, when Jacksonville police responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots and scream at the River City Landing apartments on University Boulevard in the Arlington area.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a woman who had been shot to death near the front door. Two more victims were found deceased in separate rooms within the apartment.

The victims were identified by their families as Jonisha, Jordan, and Jamonica Williams. It was revealed that Lewis had been in a relationship with one of the women, and they shared an 8-year-old son. When the police arrived, Lewis and the boy were not at the apartment.

An Amber Alert was issued for the child, but fortunately, he was found unharmed along with Lewis, south of the crime scene near Little Pottsburg Creek. Additionally, one of the victim’s cars was discovered nearby.

During the investigation, Lewis’ son provided crucial statements to the police, shedding light on what his father had done at the apartment.

Moreover, the young boy also shared details of another incident that occurred 41 days before the apartment killings, on March 20, on Welland Road. On that day, officers responding to a shooting report found a woman dead in her SUV, with multiple gunshot wounds to her head.

Surveillance footage and witness accounts indicated that the SUV was closely followed by a small black sedan. According to Lewis’ son, his father became angry after the SUV cut him off in traffic, leading him to shoot the driver to death.

It is a tragic and deeply disturbing series of events that have left a profound impact on the victims’ families and the community.
