JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A family is seeking answers following the death of their loved one in Northwest Jacksonville on Thursday.
Quynn Robinson was discovered shot and killed in a vehicle on West 45th Street. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office suspects that the 34-year-old was shot and continued driving, making it difficult to determine where the shooting occurred.
Robinson’s family fondly remembers him as a brother and father who was always willing to help others, even giving his last resources. He was the fourth child out of a total of 14.
His mother expressed, “He had a beautiful soul and would give anything and everything. He was an amazing uncle, a great father, and a wonderful brother. Just an all-around remarkable man.”
Detectives visited Robinson’s mother at her home to deliver the devastating news. She shared, “The detectives mentioned having numerous leads, but that’s all they disclosed.
I don’t know the details. They didn’t clarify whether he died from the gunshot or any other circumstances. They simply informed me that they found his lifeless body.”
According to his family, Robinson was actively pursuing a career as a pastor. His mother explained, “I raised my children to know God and dedicated them to Him. Quynn was following that path, devoting his final days to studying and ministering the Word of God.”
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the case, but no arrests have been made thus far. In light of this tragedy, Robinson’s sister has a message for the community.
“I want to address the young people in our city because I am from here, and I love my city,” she stated. “Your actions are making me despise the place I call home.
Please stop engaging in destructive behavior. Don’t contribute to the negative stereotype of fatherless children.
You know how much we need our fathers, and you took him away from us for no reason. Whatever the reason may be, it cannot justify this. It’s time to put an end to this.”
