Following his Sunday morning arrest in Alabama, a New York Jets player is being charged with drugs. The claim was met with disapproval by Jets supporters after the report was made public.
An NFL wide receiver was taken into custody early on Sunday
According to Trinity Police records, Jets wide receiver Tae Hayes, 26, was taken into custody early on Sunday in Alabama and charged with possessing marijuana, a second-degree misdemeanor.
While acknowledging the arrest, a Morgan County jail official would not provide more details.

He was given a $300 bond and freed at 5:07 am after being booked at 3:46 am. As there is an ongoing legal matter, a Jets spokesman stated that the team is aware of the situation and will not be making any more comments.
The previous season, Hayes appeared in one game for the #Jets. 14 games for multiple teams have seen him participate.

The arrest infuriated a lot of followers. Hayes was detained because he was in possession of a chemical that a lot of people believe ought to be allowed. Marijuana has recently been legal in a number of states.
