A man is purportedly seen on surveillance footage allegedly crawling beneath the cars of many ladies last month at an Arizona car wash.
On August 29, women were vacuuming at a car wash near Val Vista Drive and Riggs Road when they allegedly saw a man, later identified as 28-year-old Jesse Johnson, crawling beneath cars. This prompted Gilbert police officers to launch an investigation into three of these incidents.
According to multiple witnesses and security footage, Johnson was seen slithering beneath the cars.
Court records state that Johnson hid beneath the women’s automobiles for a few minutes while they were vacuuming them before coming to the surface.
Despite multiple empty parking places, Johnson is captured on security cameras parked next to a woman’s white SUV. While the woman is vacuuming, Johnson gets out of the automobile and approaches the front of her car.
After a few minutes of vacuuming, the woman is startled when Johnson appears from under her car. Then, he makes his way back to his car while seemingly “cleaning” the tire on the back.
According to the police, the women went to have their cars checked for potential damage or to see whether Johnson had hidden a monitoring device underneath them because they were initially unaware of what he had done.
According to court documents, the women called the events “very unsettling,” and one of them claimed to have nightmares as a result.

When authorities looked up criminal Johnson’s past, they discovered he had been arrested multiple times in Nebraska for a crime that was identical.
Johnson allegedly told Midwest law officials that he “at times, can’t control his sexual desires” and that he “is sexually attracted to women’s feet.”
Johnson was detained on Tuesday, according to Arizona police, and charged with three charges of voyeurism and three counts of disorderly conduct.
