According to reports, a Milwaukee man who is suspected of chewing someone’s fingertip off during a 2023 wedding entered a no contest plea this week to charges of violence and disorderly behavior.
Before being convicted guilty on both counts, Nathan Landsee of Milwaukee entered a no contest plea to the charges on Monday.
According to court records that the station was able to collect, police were called to The Club at Lac La Belle, a wedding location in the Town of Oconomowoc, on October 27, 2023, after hearing reports that “someone had their fingertip bitten off.”
Officers found Landsee “sitting on a couch with blood on his sleeve, which did not appear to be from him” after they arrived. In the criminal complaint, authorities noted that there was blood on the floor between the ballroom and the foyer. “There were several people remaining inside the venue who appeared to have been disturbed by this incident, including some who were crying.”
One witness told investigators there were two instances. Landsee “inappropriately touched another guest,” according to the complaint, in the first incident.
Landsee became furious and began to yell, which infuriated other guests at the wedding.
After that, he was led to a separate chamber that was off-limits to the main ballroom. According to the complaint, the second incident occurred as a result of the bride and groom’s attempts to soothe the defendant.
According to the broadcaster, Landsee grew unruly and began ranting once more shortly after that. Investigators learned from another witness that Landsee’s actions caused others to ask him to leave the wedding. However, that infuriated him even more, and he kept making a lot of noise.
According to the first witness who spoke to detectives, he threatened to contact the police if Landsee did not depart within five minutes. According to the allegations, Landsee then “started to lunge at him and was attempting to strike him.”
When three other people pinned Landsee to the ground after a fight broke out, he “bit the tip off someone’s finger,” according to the lawsuit.
“The victim’s injuries were significant,” a sergeant who responded said. “It appeared that approximately a half-inch of the finger had been bitten off. The bone inside the finger appeared to be exposed.”
The fingertip was submerged in a cup of ice, the sergeant said.

Investigators said that Landsee cooperated and that he seemed “highly intoxicated.”
The police report stated that Landsee stated “he did not know what happened, but that everyone was grabbing him, and someone put their hand inside his mouth, so he bit down.”
When the physician tried to reattach the tip of his finger, the victim informed authorities on October 29, 2023, that the injury required 18 or 19 stitches. The victim informed authorities that he would live with a deformity for the rest of his life if the surgery was unsuccessful.
On December 13, Landsee is anticipated to be sentenced.
