In order to panhandle using false information, a 45-year-old lady drove her 19-year-old son and another 17-year-old child almost an hour and a half away from their house, according to investigators.
A sergeant with the Victorville Police Department saw a man in traffic lanes holding a sign with a child’s picture and writing on it shortly after 12:35 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Bear Valley Road and U.S. Highway 395 in Victorville, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Guiseppe Militaru, 19, was reported to be the man holding a sign announcing a child’s death in an automobile accident.
Upon conducting an investigation, the sergeant discovered that the 17-year-old juvenile Militaru and his mother, Mariana Pasare, had driven from Pico Rivera to the High Desert with the intention of begging for money, according to the LASD.
If the 17-year-old is related to Pasare and Militaru as well is unknown. Based on navigation system data, Pico Rivera is more than an hour and a half away from the intersection of Bear Valley Road and U.S. 395.

Deputies stated that the posters, jugs, and cash were gathered as proof and that the “information and pictures of the children being advertised were false.”
