Authorities stated that Isesha Johnson’s son also narrowly missed shooting a third person.

The incident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on July 18 at Olinda Park, situated at 2101 NW 51st St. in the Brownsville area of the county, as reported by Miami-Dade police.

According to the arrest report, Johnson, a resident of Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood, witnessed her son burying the gun upon his return home after the shooting.

Her son was apprehended by officers on Thursday, who then arrested Johnson in Miami Gardens shortly after he informed them that she had provided him with the firearm.
