When the North Miami mother became an innocent bystander, she claimed to be holding her infant inside a car that was parked outside of a cheap store.

Over the weekend, she was shot in the head after an argument with two other ladies. Anna Ixchell Williams, 35, the suspected shooter, was taken into custody by police.

The victim is currently talking to Local 10 News about her experience, which took place on Sunday morning in the Family Dollar parking lot at 280 NE 135th St.

“It hit me in my head. In the side of my head,” she stated. “I was in so much shock. I just was screaming and my baby was full of blood and so was I.”

The mother and her child made it out alive. Authorities added that Williams and the other woman, who the victim had driven to Family Dollar with, got into a fight inside the shop, which is what caused the event.

Williams, according to the police, fired shots into the car the victim and her infant daughter were riding in after she followed the other woman outside the store.

The gunshot struck the victim rather than the person who appeared to be her intended target.

“I heard this loud ring in my ear, like I didn’t know, and then the glass shattered in my face and I got out of the car and started panicking,” she stated. “I just felt like I was going to lose my life and so was my daughter.”

To assist with paying for medical bills, she has created a GoFundMe page.

As of Friday, Williams was being held without release on charges of two counts of aggravated assault with a handgun, shooting or hurling a dangerous projectile, and aggravated battery with a weapon that causes bodily harm.
